چکیده
Magnetized liner inertial fusion (MagLIF) is a magneto-inertial-fusion (MIF) concept, which presently being studied on the Z pulsed power facility. The MagLIF platform has achieved interesting plasma conditions at stagnation and produced significant yields in laboratory. Given relative success of MagLIF, there strong interest to scale higher peak currents. However, scaling not entirely straightforward due large dimensionality experimental input parameter space numerous physical processes involved MIF implosions. In this work, we propose novel method loads Our based similarity (or similitude) attempts preserve much physics regimes already known or today's pulsed-power driver. By avoiding deviations into unexplored and/or less well-understood regimes, risk unexpected outcomes future scaled-up experiments reduced. Using arguments scaling, derive rules for parameters characterizing load (as functions characteristic current driving implosion). We then test estimated laws various metrics measuring performance against results 2D radiation–magneto-hydrodynamic hydra simulations. Agreement found between theory simulation results.

Scaling Active Search using Linear Similarity Functions
Active Search has become an increasingly useful tool in information retrieval problems where the goal is to discover as many target elements as possible using only limited label queries. With the advent of big data, there is a growing emphasis on the scalability of such techniques to handle very large and very complex datasets. In this paper, we consider the problem of Active Search where we ar...
متن کاملMultidimensional Scaling Visualization Using Parametric Similarity Indices
Abstract: In this paper, we apply multidimensional scaling (MDS) and parametric similarity indices (PSI) in the analysis of complex systems (CS). Each CS is viewed as a dynamical system, exhibiting an output time-series to be interpreted as a manifestation of its behavior. We start by adopting a sliding window to sample the original data into several consecutive time periods. Second, we define ...
متن کاملStructure and Scaling Laws of Laser-Driven Ablative implosions
A stationary, spherical flow model gives the form of laserdriven ablation fronts and scaling laws for the dependence of Implosion parameters on laser wavelength, pusher atomic number, and other input quantities. One of the major deficiencies of the theory of laser-driven implosions has been the lack of even approximate analytic relationships between the specified parameters, material descriptio...
متن کاملClassifying patients and controls using multi-dimensional scaling and exploring the metric of semantic space
Multi-dimensional scaling (MDS) has been used to visualize the organization of semantic memory in normal control subjects and in psychiatric conditions such as schizophrenia and Alzheimer's disease. However, the potential for such techniques to classify subjects into diagnostic groups has not been realized. This study attempted to tackle this by developing classification statistics and by explo...
متن کاملUsing Multidimensional Scaling for Assessment Economic Development of Regions
Addressing socio-economic development issues are strategic and most important for any country. Multidimensional statistical analysis methods, including comprehensive index assessment, have been successfully used to address this challenge, but they donchr('39')t cover all aspects of development, leaving some gap in the development of multidimensional metrics. The purpose of the study is to const...
